I’ve been waiting for this series for about a year now, even read the novel twice in the meantime, and the end result was even BETTER than what I ever imagined. The editing could cross marvel level cgi, looking extremely real and the acting was just perfect. This is THE BEST horror bl series I Steve ever watched. Imagining how bad the editing in my golden blood was, I would’ve never expected this. Props to them.

This series has been in the making for years, and it’s been worth the wait. It’s a mystery story revolving around the fate of Khemjira (Namping Napatsakorn), who is cursed to die before the turns 21, and who is haunted by ghosts he can see. The only person who can help him survive is shaman Peem (Keng Harit), but both of them have to overcome dangerous situations and defeat their most powerful enemy, a female ghost called Ramphueng. The root of all the evil lies in the past lives of all the protagonists. What makes “Khemjira“ my favorite Thai BL series of 2025 is the combination of a mysterious story that is masterly written, an arc of suspense that makes you long for the next episode, characters that deserve to be called characters as all their dimensions are being displayed, authenticity in flashbacks to the characters’ past lives, and a great cast. Keng and Namping perfectly personify the many layers of their characters, and Tle and FirstOne are the reason for another fit of “second couple syndrome“.

I loved the four main characters so much. I wanted to give this show a higher rating because of how much I loved the story, but the story took a dive in quality around episode 9 and at the climax I couldn't help but think "that's it?" Still, the acting, cinematography, and early script were phenomenal. I think everyone involved with this project should be really proud of themselves. If you want to watch a mysterious romance, I think this is a great recommendation. I just can't help but be disappointed by the later episodes, but maybe that just goes to show how good the early ones are! This show and its characters still hold a special place in my heart and it's definitely one of my favourites!
